Job/Business Opportunities

Business Opportunity

Would you like to come and live in Spain and work with us?

We started our company in 2006 and now in 2010 we are looking to join up with another like minded couple to take the business forward for the next few years.  We believe that a couple who are both interested in watersports would be ideally suited to this venture.

Our Sailing School is small, there will be just 4 of us working closely together.  All of our activities are for private small groups, mainly families though we are receiving an increasing demand from corporate groups and organised parties.  We pride ourselves in providing very high quality tuition and therefore you will need to be an experienced instructor to work with us.

Does this describe you?

  • Experienced dinghy instructor with a love of the outdoor life
  • Keen Windsurfer or Windsurf Instructor
  • Enjoy teaching and meeting new people
  • Would love to live in Spain for a few years or move there permanently
  • Hard worker willing to try anything
  • Fit and active
  • Have sufficient finance behind you to fund your own accommodation and keep you afloat initially.

The business is normally open from mid March-November so you could live in the UK for 6 months per year or move out here permanently.  If our work was your only source of income you would need to find another job to keep you through the winter and also support you during the low season, therefore if you have a trade e.g. plumbing, building, hair-dressing, etc. this would be very useful.

How would the relationship work?

We own Aqua Adicta and all the assets of the company.  We would be responsible for all marketing and publicity, booking enquiries and company finances.  We would contract you to work for us on a freelance basis.

You would form your own Autonomo (self employed business), we would share all work we receive with you throughout the season and you would take 50% of the profit for all the work you do.  Based on previous years income this would amount to approx. 9000 euros per season.  The business is building year on year and we would therefore expect this to increase.  We are also intending to reduce our workload over the coming years which means you would have the opportunity to work more and therefore earn more.  Your business costs which would cover healthcare and accountancy would be about 300 euros per month.

Based on previous years the average workload would be as follows...

6 days per week during July & August plus school half term holidays in May and October,

3 days per week in June, September & October

2 days per week in April & May

Ad hock during March & November

You would be expected to assist with maintenance tasks on the days you work.

If you are interested please send through a CV with any further questions you may have.
